In Arrah, Bihar, armed Patidars shot a father and son to grab property. While bringing the son injured in this firing incident to the hospital for treatment, he died on the way. While the father is badly injured, he has been admitted to a private hospital in Ara city for treatment in critical condition. The incident took place late Monday evening in Pehrap village of Sahar police station area.
The deceased has been identified as Aditya Kumar (20), son of Kamlesh Rai, resident of Pehrap village. At the same time, Kamlesh Rai, the father of the deceased, was hit by two bullets. His condition is said to be serious. Here, as soon as information about the firing was received, the local police station reached the spot and started investigating the entire matter.
Injured Kamlesh Rai told that as part of a conspiracy by our Patidars to grab property, I and my son were shot. Our Patidar Priyanshu Rai and about six people along with him came armed with weapons and started firing indiscriminately at us. In this incident, I and my son Aditya Kumar were shot, after which both of us were admitted to the hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, hospital doctor Dr. Ravi Ranjan said that two people injured in the firing incident were brought to the hospital for treatment. One of them has died and one person is injured, who has been referred to a higher center in view of his critical condition.
ASI Ravindra Kumar posted at Sahar police station said that two people were shot by the named people in a mutual dispute. One youth has died and one person is injured, who is undergoing treatment. At present, the main reason for the incident is being ascertained and efforts are being made to identify the miscreants involved in this incident and arrest them.
